Overview

Leaderboards are a great gamification opportunity to increase engagement during an Event. Delegates can earn points for interacting with the platform such as asking a Question, reaching out to a Sponsor/Exhibitor and watching content. The Delegates with the highest points are displayed on a Leaderboard.

Multiple Leaderboards can be created for an Event, each with different engagement metrics and points.

Task

• Create a Leaderboard

Pre-requisites

• Created a Tenant

• Created an Event

• Registration (Registration must be active and Users must Register to participate)

Instructions

1. Within the Admin Tools Dashboard, navigate to the “Engagement” module and then 'Leaderboards' via the charcoal navigational bar on the left-hand side of the platform.

2. Click 'Create Leaderboard'.

3. Within the 'Name' field, input a Name for the Leaderboard. This will display in the Header on the Leaderboard page.

4. Within the 'Description' field, input a Description for the Leaderboard. This will display in the Header on the Leaderboard page.

5. Within the 'Start Date And Time' field, input the Date and Time you'd like the Leaderboard to commence in the Event time zone.

6. Within the 'End Date And Time' field, input the Date and Time you'd like the Leaderboard to end in the Event time zone.

7. Within the 'Delegate Limit' field, input the number of Delegates you'd like the Leaderboard to display. Maximum is 25. We recommend that 10 to 15 display best.

8. Under 'Enabled', choose to Enable the Leaderboard.

9. Under 'Choose Delegate Types', select the Delegate Types you'd like to participate on this Leaderboard.

10. Under 'Leaderboard Actions', click the 'Add Leaderboard Action' button. 

11. Two drop-down lists will become available to you:

         • Watching a ePoster

         • Connecting with a Exhibitor

         • Connecting with a Sponsor

         • Chat with a Exhibitor

         • Watching a Sponsor featured video

         • Watching a Exhibitor resource

         • Watching a Sponsor resource

         • Downloading a Sponsor Resource

         • Downloading a Exhibitor Resource

         • Accepting a meeting

         • Joining a networking room

         • Watching a livestream

         • Watching a Talk

         • Watching a Session

       • Available App Actions:

         • Connecting with an Exhibitor (this is via the lead capture functionality)

         • Download an Exhibitor resource

         • Watching an Exhibitor featured video

         • Asking a question

    2. Point Multiplier

       • Enter the number of points the delegate will earn per action

12. If you'd like to add another Leaderboard Action, click the 'Add Leaderboard Action' button again as required.

13. When you have completed adding your Leaderboard Actions, click 'Submit'.

To obtain the URL to the Leaderboard, click black ‘Actions’ button and then the green book ‘View’ icon next to the relevant Leaderboard.

Then remove the '/admin' from the URL, and press the Enter key. You'll be taken to the Leaderboard on the frontend of the platform.

Notes

• 'Watching a livestream' points are earned per minute for this Action. If for example you assigned this Action 5 points, a Delegate would earn 5 points per minute of content watched. Therefore we'd recommend assigning a lower number of points for this Action.

• The Actions 'Watching a Session' and 'Watching a Talk' refer to VOD (video on demand) content.

• We recommend creating a Custom Page as a landing page prior to Navigating to your Leaderboard. Once you create the Custom Page, create a Menu item called "Leaderboard" (or equivalent) that links to that Custom Page, and then add a link to the Leaderboard itself on that Custom Page. An example of some text you could add to the Custom Page is:

Although we can’t meet face to face, you can still be involved. Earn points by example action, example action and example action.

The top point scorer on the Leaderboard will receive a example prize, so don't miss out on the chance to win! If we have multiple top scorers - a random draw will be completed.

Competition closes at date and time.
You can earn points by interacting on the platform in the following ways:
