About: Event App Features

Pre-requisites

Instructions

  1. Within the Admin Tools Dashboard navigate to the “Events” module and then “Events” in the charcoal navigational bar on the left-hand side of the platform.

  2. From this page, click the 'Actions' button which will drop down the options. From here, click 'App Features'

Overview

  • Enable for Multi Events - this will allow app users to switch to this event in the app. Always leave the current event enabled for this.

  • QR Scan - Enable the QR code scan to include all the QR code related functions in the app. If you want to hide the bottom navigator scan button in the app, disable this option.

  • Enable the password login so the app users can log into the app via passwords.

  • Enable the buttons in the app so the users can check in / check out on the session screen.

  • Enable the newsfeed - enable the newsfeed feature so the app users can post/reply/upvote newsfeeds.

  • Enable the QR code scan for session check-in and check-out - app users will be able to scan the session QR code to check in and check out once this feature is enabled.

  • Enable chat to allow app users to chat to each other in the app.

  • Export Sessions to Calendar - this should be disabled to prevent users from seeing outdated information.

  • Enable native speaker list - if this is enabled, the app will show the app native speaker list. This will not hide the speaker list menu automatically.

  • Enable personal agenda - if this is enabled, the app will show user’s favourite sessions on the agenda screen instead of the full agenda.

  • Enable Now On - if this is enabled, the app will show the “Now On” button at the bottom navigator. Otherwise the “Now On” button will be invisible.

  • Enable newsfeed push notifications & emails - once this is enabled, the person who creates a newsfeed post, and everyone who subsequently posts a comment, will receive a push notification and an email with the comment information included.

  • Enable QR code scan for lead capture - app users will be able to scan QR codes to create leads.

  • Enable Session check by code - once enabled, app users can check the session by the session code.

  • Enable ask questions - once enabled, app users will see the ask questions button on the session screen.

  • Enable export contacts - once this is enabled, the “Export Contacts” button will show in the app.

  • Delegate Check In - if enabled, admin users can see and use the “Delegate Check In” button in the app to scan delegates to verify their session registrations.
