About: Discount Codes

Discount codes are used to allow registrants to receive a tickets for their events at discounted rates. Specified and defined conditions/criteria must be met to qualify for the discount. 

Examples of discount codes are:

• Member discounts

• Student discounts

• Exhibitor discounts

• Developing Country discounts

Administrators can add an unlimited number of discount codes, plus add a brief description for each, which be visible on the Administrator side only, by clicking the navy blue ‘+ Add discount code’ button.

Administrators can either enter the name of the discount code themselves, or by clicking the navy blue ‘Generate’ button let the system generate a random discount code.

In the set up of discount codes Administrators can set start and end dates for discount codes and choose to request registrants to upload an ID photo file (eg a photocopy of a student ID card) and/or to provide ID info (eg a membership number) that can be used to validate eligibility for discounts.

Administrators can clone, edit and delete Discount codes.

Discount codes are created in the ‘Discount codes’ step. Administrators can apply Validation Logic to ticket prices for discount codes in the ‘Registration types’, ‘Function tickets’, ‘Workshop tickets’ and ‘Tour tickets’ steps of the registration form build.
