Attendee Categories enable Administrators to customise the registration form for different groups and ensures that each attendee category only sees the relevant registration form pages and tickets.

Examples of attendee categories are:

  • In-person attendees

  • Virtual attendees

  • Speakers/presenters

  • Sponsors

  • Exhibitors

  • Media/press

  • VIPs

Administrators can apply Display Logic to the registration form for Attendee Categories. Creation of attendee categories therefore enables Administrators to only display the registration pages, questions and tickets for individual attendees groups. For example: in-person functions and tour tickets can be hidden from the registration form for registrants that indicate that they want to attend the event virtually.

Administrators can add an unlimited number of attendee categories, plus add a brief description for each, which will be displayed on the registration form, by clicking the navy blue ‘+ Add’ button. Administrators can clone, edit and delete Attendee categories.

Administrators also have the option to either make created attendee categories visible or to hide them from the registration form for registrants. A tokenised link is created for each attendee category; and the Administrator can ‘copy the unique registration link’ and then send this unique URL out to attendee groups.

Administrators can select if the attendee category should support group registrations. If ‘Yes’ is selected this attendee category is only visible for group coordinators registering their group members.

Administrators can also select between ‘Forms First’ and ‘Payment First’ registration forms. ‘Payments First' is the most direct way to ticket purchases. The registrants will be requested to fill out the personal details and additional details pages later.

Attendee categories are created in the ‘Attendee categories’ step. The display logic can then be set up in the ‘Main event tickets’, ‘Function tickets’, ‘Workshop tickets’ and ‘Tour tickets’ steps of the registration form build.

IMPORTANT: Attendee categories are not to be used for special ticket prices (eg speaker discounts, early bird discounts etc). Instead, Discount Codes are used for special ticket prices.
